پخش برنامه‌هایی از صداوسیما که در آنها مجریان سلاح گرم در دست می‌گیرند یا کار با آنها را به مخاطبان آموزش می‌دهند علاوه بر تأکید بر فضای نظامی و نظامی‌گری، آن‌هم در زمان آتش‌بس که انتظار ترجیح مسیر دیپلماسی به نفع مردم می‌رود، به باور بسیاری از شهروندان و کارشناسان سیاسی با هدف تهدید و ارعاب مردم است؛ مردمی که دی ماه گذشته در جمعیتی انبوه و میلیونی با حضور در خیابانهای کشور عبور از رژیم را درخواست کردند اما با رگبار گلوله و کشتاری جمعی روبرو شدند.

به نظر می‌رسد با توجه به وخیم‌تر شدن بحران اقتصادی، عدم تغییر سیاست‌های عامل این بحران همراه با سرکوب بیرحمانه و موج اعدام‌ها، حکومت تنها راه مقابله با آتش خشم و عصبانیت عمومی را تهدید مردم داخل خانه‌هایشان دیده است.

This militarized messaging comes despite the current ceasefire, when people expect diplomacy to be prioritized. It follows months after millions of Iranians took to the streets demanding regime change and were met with bullets and mass killings.

As the economic crisis deepens, while the policies causing it remain unchanged alongside brutal repression and rising executions, the regime appears to see fear and intimidation — even inside people’s homes — as its main way of containing growing public anger.
