سیم‌کارت سفید ها

نزدیک به هشتاد روز است که حکومت ایران اینترنت را قطع کرده و تنها بسته‌ای محدود، کنترل‌شده و بسیار گران‌قیمت با عنوان “اینترنت پرو” را در اختیار گروه‌های خاص قرار می‌دهد. در کنار استفاده‌کنندگان اینترنت پرو، دارندگان “سیم‌کارت‌های سفید” نیز از دسترسی ویژه برخوردارند.

عمده بهره‌مندان از این امتیازها، وابستگان حکومت و حامیان آن هستند که با استفاده از این امکان، تصویری عادی، بزک‌شده و گمراه‌کننده از وضعیت امروز ایران به جهان مخابره می‌کنند؛ تصویری که در آن نشانی از فقر گسترده، سرکوب سیستماتیک، گرانی کمرشکن و موج روزانه اعدام‌های سیاسی دیده نمی‌شود.

It has been close to eighty days since the Iranian regime cut off internet access for the vast majority of the population, while offering only a limited, tightly controlled, and extremely expensive package called “Pro Internet” to select groups. In addition to users of this package, holders of so-called “white SIM cards” also enjoy privileged access. Most beneficiaries of these special privileges are regime affiliates and supporters, who use them to project a normal, polished, and misleading image of today’s Iran to the world—one that hides widespread poverty, systematic repression, crushing inflation, and the daily wave of political executions.
